OSCARS 2021…a little bit bleurgh.

Listen, I'm all for a good awards show. I love the pageantry of it all. Of course, I want to know who wins and is crowned creme de la creme in their respective categories but my eagle eye is of course always scanning the celebrity crowd for stand out ‘lewks’. From the over the top gowns to the razzle dazzle of the gems, it’s a visual overload if ever there was one. 

BUT, this years Oscars, for obvious reasons, was a bit of a let down. Due to the restrictions that Covid 19 has put on seemingly EVERYTHING, we had to settle for a low key affair. To quote Elton John ’The Oscar ceremony looks like it's coming from a Starbucks’. Needless to say this years event had the lowest ever ratings of the ceremonies history.

That didn't stop me though, I was still on the hunt for my favourite frocks and jewels. And to be fair, the celebrity contingent did try, bless their cotton socks. Thanks guys!

Hopefully next years awards season can take place with less restrictions, and even if we can never get back the pomp and ceremony of yesteryear, we can still be dazzled once again.
